Optimum Dog & Cat Health

Example

Dog - Feed 40% Raw Meat & 40% Cooked or raw mulched Veggies
Cat - Feed 70% Raw Meat (5%) mashed cooked pumpkin for easy digestion. (NO GRAINS)

EXAMPLE:

DOG - MEATY BONES :
Must be Raw!
Larger dogs only - Use Lamb Shank bones. And Feed Raw chicken necks,
carcases, wings.

NOTE: FOR bull terriers, boxers and smaller DOG size
Feed all raw meaty bones (omitting the lamb shank meaty/bones/KNUCKLES )

CAT- 15% Meaty Bones of Diet
- Raw chicken necks -
Use a wooden malet to smash necks if desired - may make it easer to eat!

RAW diced mutton, Roo(aussie meat), a little amount of fish, organic chicken, and plenty of raw chicken necks or roo tails for the dogs.
(no beef or pork meat) And tablescraps.

(preferably not minced meat, as B vitamins get destroyed in the process, feeding 'cooked' meat destroy digestive enzymes making proper digestion very difficult)

* Once a month feed organ meat
Eg. Raw Liver - is highly nutritious

Throughout the week, can feed natural cottage cheese, natural yogurt (especially if pet has been on chemical antibiotics), goat's milk, cooked egg OR if raw egg yolk only.
If your cat or dog eats grass, then add some fresh chopped Alfalfa sprouts in daily meals.
This has a natural enzyme that assists in digestion.

For assistance with older pets or Pancreatitis dogs and cats and other digestive disorders.
For dogs Give 1 capful of Herbal Paw Paw Extract in daily meals .
For cats add 1/4 of the cap in daily meals.
Avoid all other fruits if dog suffers from pancreatitis disorders.

Veggies: If Cooked Best to use -
Pumpkin and/or squash well mashed.
If Uncooked mulched in blender only- zucchini, and chemically free Carrots.

Breakfast suggestions for the younger puppies/Dogs
Cereals/grains:
e.g. Rye flakes,
Oat Bran,
cooked Pearl Barley,
or rolled Oats
Whole meal bread,
cooked eggs or if raw egg ( feed the yolk only )
Example Recipe
- 2 cups of plain Rolled Oats - more/or less ( soak in warm/hot water for 15 minutes )
Tablespoon unprocessed Honey ( optional )

Use Natural Yogurt or goats milk or buttermilk or mix up soy powder milk (no cows milk or processed cheese)
Add 1 teaspoon of Flaxseed oil (use only organic flaxseed oil )
and little sprinkle of coconut flakes over top.

I have been to several veterinarians over the last 12 months to attempt to eradicate cysts in between my dogs (Shar Pei) toes, along with a bad skin allergy and Staphylococcus. These methods failed to cure his conditions and only served to barely stabilize it through ongoing expensive vaccines, drugs and antibiotics, and subjecting him to regular surgery ( removing cysts).

Foods to Avoid
Beef, Onion, potatoes, peas or cabbage, corn & (non organic carrots),
citrus fruits, chocolate, pork meat, wheat/pasta.
ALL 'artificial' ... anything that comes in a .. bag/tin/roll/box.

Bones to Avoid!
- Any cooked bone and raw or cooked Marrow bones -
- wears teeth down -
- too hard on tooth enamel -
And Cooked bones of any sort or sun bleached bones may
splinter and perforate their stomach

AVOID: ALL brands of Commercial dog Biscuits (too many preservatives and artificial additives dyes salt and sugars - with very little nutrient value at all! And with many animals it causes allergy reactions Signs of having a allergy reaction to the preservatives/chemicals or any yeast products are: (Biting at toes, excessive scratching, red skin, strong skin odor, runny eyes, lethargic, dull looking fur, a slight fever/hot )

In the US some quality preservative free foods are names like Natural Life, Nature's Recipe, Lick your chops, solid Gold, Precise, Petguard, Cornucopia, Wysong, and Natural Balance. Australia has Nature's Recipe available.

Unlike these, Iams, Eukanuba, Hills, Science Diet, Pro-Plan, and Purina are NOT preservative free, ALL contain ethoxyquin. (Ethoxy was developed by Monsanto as a rubber hardener and insecticide). It is believed to cause liver and kidney dis-ease, cancer, immune dis-ease, skin problems, birth deformities, and thyroid problems. And be aware of food containing BHA and BHT avoid at all costs.

Optimum Cat Health

Should your cat's food be cooked or RAW?

Your cat has evolved as a RAW FOOD eater.
All your cat's food, including the vegetables should be fed raw.

To enable your cat to digest the vegetables, they will have to be completely crushed. the pulp from your juicer is perfect.

Failing that they will need to be "mushed" with a food processor.

And this is how you do it!
FIFTY PERCENT of your cat's food should consist of RAW MEATY BONES.

NOTE: If your cat is very young with few teeth .....
or very old with few teeth, or has a diseased mouth,
you may need to totally mince or crush those
raw meaty CHICKEN necks or wings
and feed them that way.

FIFTY PERCENT of your cat's food should consist of MEAT[and vegetable]

Rani - cat

The Veggan Diet for Dogs(only)

Extract rom the Dr.R.Pitcairn's Complete Guide to Natural Health.

NOTE: CATs cannot be veggans, they MUST always have meat in their diet.

Dogs

( Avoid giving any Citrus fruits )

These are the best-liked veggies that can be fed RAW.
* chopped parsley
* Alfalfa
* Finely grated zucchini

These vegetable favorites should be COOKED
before being fed to pets
* Peas
* Green beans
* Broccoli

* Its okay fed leftover cooked or mashed potatoes occasionally in place of some lower-protein grains
such as rice, cornmeal and barley.
( Be sure to cut out all green parts of the potato or
green growths as its toxic)
NOTE: When ever feeding a dog on a meatless diet
one must add a Iron Vitamin supplement as a replacement of vitamin - (The chelate Iron is the Best for Dogs)

ALL Ingrediants Available at Health Food shops.
*Chelate Iron - crush tablet into food daily.
(10 to 15 milligrams of Iron)

POLENTA

1/2 Cup of powdered milk + 4 cups water
1 cup... cornmeal
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup... grated cheese
1 1/2 Tablespoon ‘ of the ' Vitamin/Mineral Powder Mix’
1 teaspoon Safflower Oil 1 1/2 Cups
Dolomite Powder AND 1/4 teaspoon
.. Ester C Powder -Vit C.)
100 to 200 IU Wheat germ Oil
(15 milligrams) Chelate Iron tab
1/2 Cup.. of Cooked or grated Raw - Vegetables (optional)

Bring powdered milk and water to a boil.
(If using all milk, scald and stir to avoid burning)
Add the cornmeal quickly with a whisk and blend until smooth.
Cover and turn down to simmer until the
cornmeal is soft and mushy, about 10 minutes.
While the cornmeal is still hot, blend in the eggs and cheese.
After some cooling, stir in the remaining ingredients.

Grain substitutes: 1 Cup.. millet
(+ 3 cups water = 3 cups cooked);
1 cup whole-wheat couscous
(+ 1 /2 cups water = 2 1/2 cups cooked);
2 cups ..raw oats
(+ 4 cups water = 4 cups oatmeal).

Yield: About 5 1/2 cups, with 210 kilocalorie per cup.

Feed Daily Ration (by cups) Size of Dog:

toy dog — 2/3 to 2 1/2 Cups
small — 2 1/2 to 5 Cups
medium — 5 to 6 1/2 Cups
large — 6 1/2 to 9 Cups
Ex Large — 9 to 13 & 1/3+ Cups

1 Cup Plain Soya Flour
1 Cup Natural Oat Bran,
1 Cup Oats,
1/8 Cup Sunflower Seeds (ground them),
1/8 Cup Pumpkin Seeds (grounded)
3 TBS Raw Organic Honey
3TBS Organic Safflower Oil
3/4 Cup of Water

Mix Ingredients well using fork.

All ingredients available at Health foods stores.
ADD 3/4 cup of water with one chicken stock cube dissolved OR use filtered water.
Mix Pat & Roll dough out.
Cut approx. 1/4" thick squares and back on greased tray.
OVEN approx.200-220.

*BAKE one Hour or more, watching for browning, biscuits to be covered with foil, to bake until biscuits are HARD.
